By the Numbers
CultureTechLens publishes its reach the way it publishes its research — dated, sourced, and corrected in the open. The numbers below are small. They are printed anyway. An institution that asks to be cited should show its own figures first.
First edition — measured October 4, 2026. Windows are labeled figure by figure. Updated monthly; the next edition lands in early November 2026.
The archive
- 965 entity records in the public Black Cultural Knowledge Graph, each carrying an evidence grade (VERIFIED / SUPPORTED / PROVISIONAL / DISPUTED / UNRESOLVED) and a ready-made citation.
- 271 mapped relationships between those records.
- Index of record archived at Zenodo: DOI 10.5281/zenodo.23081630.
- Edition 2026-10 of the CultureTechLens Index published September 28, 2026; the next edition is drafted the first Tuesday of each month.
- 25 research briefs begin weekly Tuesday publication on October 13, 2026, on this site and on Substack the same day.
Video
- 2,262 views on the CultureTechLens YouTube channel, September 6 – October 3, 2026 (YouTube Analytics).
- 33 videos published; 8 subscribers; 8.0 hours watched in the same window.
- Most-watched reviews: Prince, Sign o’ the Times (343 views); Michael Jackson, Off the Wall (266); Stevie Wonder, Songs in the Key of Life (223).
Readership
- 19 active users, 28 sessions, 39 page views on culturetechlens.com in the 28 days ending October 4, 2026 (Google Analytics); 64% of sessions arrived from organic search.
- 5 clicks on 7 impressions in Google Search over the same window, at an average position of 1.3 (Google Search Console) — when the site appears, it appears at the top; it does not appear often yet.
- 3,080 views for the CTL 100 Black Music Essentials list on Listal, across 65 published CultureTechLens lists holding 2,027 cataloged items.
How we count
Figures come from the platforms’ own reporting — YouTube Analytics, Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, and Listal — pulled in the first week of each month. Nothing here is estimated, projected, or rounded up. When a window is too small to report, the page says so rather than filling the space. Corrections, when needed, are logged on the corrections page like any other CultureTechLens error.
Update log
- October 2026 — first edition. Baseline for the November 3, 2026 MEDUSA audit.

Trust & evidence
Evidence before authority. CultureTechLens publishes its methods, its limits, and its corrections alongside its findings. Claims carry grades — VERIFIED, SUPPORTED, PROVISIONAL, DISPUTED, UNRESOLVED — and unknowns are never reported as zero.
Every claim graded. Every source named. Every correction public — none to date.
