VERIFIED evidence grade of this record

The Portable Receptacle Support: Bessie Blount Griffin's 1951 invention (U.S. Patent No. 2,550,554, granted April 24, 1951) — an electric self-feeding apparatus that delivered one mouthful of food at a time through a tube when the patient bit down on it, letting amputees and paralyzed patients eat independently. Rights assigned to France after the VA declined it.
