Two voices that helped define New York rap in the 1990s now meet twice a week behind microphones. Joe and Jada is a podcast hosted by Fat Joe and Jadakiss, launched in May 2025 and released twice weekly, in which the two longtime friends trade behind-the-scenes stories from their careers and give their views on music, sports, and pop culture. The show's own iHeart listing describes the format plainly: the pair link up twice a week to share stories from their legendary careers and their real thoughts on the hottest topics in music, sports, and pop culture.

The graph's verification record, drawn from a Rockland/Westchester Journal News profile of Jadakiss, establishes the hosts and the 2025 launch, and the production and distribution facts come from the show's iHeart listing and launch coverage fetched at intake. The podcast is produced by The Volume and Roc Nation and distributed by iHeartPodcasts, and its video streams on Netflix under iHeartMedia's Netflix podcast deal. That combination — an audio feed through a major podcast network and a video version carried by the largest streaming service — places the show inside the current migration of marquee podcasts from audio-only feeds to video-first distribution.

The guest list reported in coverage of the show's live extension gives a sense of its reach within hip-hop and beyond. A September 2026 live taping at Baltimore's Pier Six Pavilion, announced with Maryland Governor Wes Moore and Baltimore Mayor Brandon M. Scott as conversation guests, listed earlier guests including Cardi B, DJ Khaled, Allen Iverson, Teyana Taylor, Common, Ciara, and Raekwon. The same announcement described the show as an award-winning podcast and reported that it received the 2026 Shorty Award for Art & Culture Podcast, and that it had attracted nearly one million followers across its YouTube and social platforms. Those figures are the promoters' and the announcement's, and this record states them as such rather than as independently audited audience numbers.

The show's premise depends on the hosts' shared history. Fat Joe, born Joseph Antonio Cartagena, built his career from the Bronx as a solo artist and as the leader of Terror Squad; Jadakiss, born Jason Phillips in Yonkers, came up with The LOX before his solo career. The Journal News profile that verifies this entry is a hometown profile of Jadakiss as a Yonkers hip-hop figure, which is the angle from which the graph's record was first verified. Their pairing is presented, in the show's own description, as a conversation between longtime friends rather than an interview format imposed on strangers, and the episode descriptions bear that out: guests are drawn into the hosts' running conversation about careers, sports, and culture.

Joe and Jada sits in the graph as a Work of node type podcast, year 2025, with graph edges recording both hosts as appearing in it in the co-host role. Its significance for a Black cultural archive is the form itself: two artists whose recording careers were built inside the 1990s New York rap economy now operate as media principals, owning a recurring conversation platform distributed by Roc Nation, The Volume, iHeart, and Netflix rather than appearing only as guests in other people's media. The record is written in current terms only, as the show is recent and ongoing; no final reception verdict is available or claimed. What can be said on the evidence is narrower and still substantial: a twice-weekly show, launched in May 2025, carried on the largest podcast and streaming platforms, recognized with a 2026 Shorty Award in its category as reported by its live-event announcement, and extended to live tapings with elected officials as guests. That is the documented shape of Joe and Jada at the time of this writing.
