Notes

Sports Encyclopedia roster CTL-SPE-0198. Firsts disposition: one first is asserted — first lacrosse player signed to a New Balance contract — because two sources in this record support it (Christopher Newport University Athletics, and MN2S's roster profile, which dates it to 2009); it is an endorsement first, not a competition first, and the description says so by context. No other first is claimed. Documentation note: Woodson is more thinly documented than this packet's Olympians, but the record still clears GOV-006 — two independent university athletics sources (Hampton, Christopher Newport) plus Wikipedia — so it is graded Verified on that basis, with the thinner margin flagged here rather than hidden. Curator's Judgment (DRAFT): Woodson's significance is geographic as much as athletic — a Hampton Roads player who starred in the Ivy League, played a decade of professional lacrosse, and then came home to coach the HBCU program in his own region. CTL should treat his Hampton tenure as the record's center of gravity. Photo: HELD — no depicting file found on Wikimedia Commons, searches documented in the visual asset basis.
