Combined Graph record U-07799 · provenance: build store (JSON graph), record CTL-E-6927.

Angela Patrice Hill (born January 12, 1985, in Prince George's County, Maryland), known as "Overkill," is an American mixed martial artist who competes in the women's strawweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Trained first in Muay Thai — she was a World Kickboxing Association North American champion as an amateur in 2010 and 2012 and as a professional in 2014, per her UFC profile — she also earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at the Cooper Union School of Art before fighting professionally. Hill appeared on The Ultimate Fighter 20 and made her UFC debut on December 12, 2014, beating Emily Kagan. After an early UFC release she won the Invicta FC strawweight championship in 2016, returned to the UFC in 2017, and became one of the division's most durable fixtures: she held the record for the most fights in UFC women's strawweight history, with 27 bouts in the division entering UFC 322 in November 2025, and the record for octagon time among UFC women.

The record

Notes

Sports Encyclopedia roster CTL-SPE-0219. Firsts disposition: NO 'first' is asserted in the description. The record claim asserted is 'most fights in UFC women's strawweight history' (27 entering UFC 322, November 2025), supported by Cageside Press in this record and corroborated by the UFC-division record reporting in secondary coverage; a broader 'most UFC fights by a woman' formulation was NOT used because the sources in hand frame the record by division and by octagon time. An unsourced-in-authoritative-records claim that Hill was the first African American woman to compete in the UFC appears in low-grade secondary pages and is NOT asserted. Curator's Judgment (DRAFT): Hill's significance is durability as achievement — an art-school graduate and Muay Thai champion who, without a UFC title, outlasted nearly everyone in her division's history and turned availability itself into a record.
