Combined Graph record U-07873 · provenance: build store (JSON graph), record CTL-E-7001.

Aaron Judge (born April 26, 1992, in Linden, California) is the New York Yankees' captain and the American League's defining power hitter of his era. Judge, who was adopted as an infant by Linden schoolteachers Patty and Wayne Judge, has spoken of being biracial; the specific backgrounds of his biological parents have not been publicly confirmed, and Judge himself has said he does not know the full details — he has consistently directed attention to the parents who raised him. A three-sport star at Linden High and a Fresno State product, the 6-foot-7 outfielder won unanimous American League Rookie of the Year honors in 2017 with 52 home runs. In 2022 he hit 62 home runs, breaking Roger Maris's American League single-season record, and won his first AL MVP Award; a second followed in 2024, when he returned the Yankees to the World Series. He was named the sixteenth captain in Yankees history in December 2022. His combination of power, plate discipline, and right-field defense has made him the franchise's face and, by annual WAR measures, among the most valuable players of the 2020s.

Notes

Sports Encyclopedia roster CTL-SPE-0308. Heritage disposition: carried exactly as the brief directs and as the sources converge — adopted as an infant; biracial in his own description; biological parents' specific backgrounds NOT publicly confirmed and NOT asserted here in either direction. One source in the search set gives a Sacramento birthplace; Wikipedia and the Linden-raised reporting support Linden as carried — flagged here, not blended into the description. Firsts disposition: ASSERTED — broke the AL single-season home-run record (62, 2022), per Wikipedia; rookie record claims kept to the 2017 totals. Curator's Judgment (DRAFT): Judge's file is a reminder that the graph documents heritage as its subjects state it — his restraint about his origins is itself the record.
