Notes

Sports Encyclopedia roster CTL-SPE-0398. Firsts disposition: ASSERTED — first wide receiver to win the Heisman Trophy (1987), stated in that form by both Notre Dame and PSA/DNA. Curator's Judgment (DRAFT): Brown's Heisman was won as much on punt returns as on routes — the award went to the most dangerous player in the country, and for one season that was a receiver.
