Combined Graph record U-07953 · provenance: build store (JSON graph), record CTL-E-7081.

DeWanna Bonner (born August 21, 1987) is an American forward from Fairfield, Alabama, whose eighteen WNBA seasons made her one of the league's most durable scorers. Auburn's all-time leading scorer when she left, she was drafted fifth overall by the Phoenix Mercury in 2009 and won championships in 2009 and 2014, earning the Sixth Woman of the Year award three straight years (2009–2011) — still the only three-time winner. After eleven seasons in Phoenix she played five with the Connecticut Sun (2020–2024), signed with the Indiana Fever in February 2025 and, in her Fever debut on May 17, 2025, passed Tina Thompson to stand third on the league's all-time scoring list. Waived by Indiana that June, she returned to Phoenix in July 2025 and helped the Mercury reach the 2025 Finals, re-signed for 2026, and in August 2026 took a buyout from Phoenix to join the Atlanta Dream for a playoff run — ranking, as the 2026 season closed, among the league's top three scorers, top five rebounders, and second in games played behind only Sue Bird.

Notes

NOT in the AAES roster v2 — roster-addition proposal for the AAES intake; no SPE id invented. Phoenix, Connecticut, Indiana, and Atlanta are not homed in the graph, so no played_for edges. TENURE PRECISION: Bonner's 2025–26 movement (Fever signing, June 2025 waiver, July 2025 Phoenix return, April 2026 re-signing, August 2026 buyout and Atlanta signing) is stated with dates, never as a bare current-team claim, per the packet brief. Curator's Judgment (DRAFT): Bonner's record is the longevity counterpoint to the packet's peak-era stars — a three-time Sixth Woman who outlasted nearly everyone, still moving into the league's top three scorers in her seventeenth season.
