Franchón Crews-Dezurn, born June 13, 1987, in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and fighting out of Baltimore, Maryland, is an American professional boxer known as 'The Heavy Hitting Diva.' She made her professional debut in 2016 against Claressa Shields, who was also debuting, and lost by unanimous decision. She won her first title in September 2018, taking the vacant WBC super middleweight belt from Maricela Cornejo, added the WBO belt in a 2019 rematch, and on April 30, 2022, outpointed Elin Cederroos at Madison Square Garden to become, as BoxingScene records, the first undisputed women's super middleweight champion. Her reign ended on July 2, 2023, when Savannah Marshall beat her by majority decision in Manchester. On December 15, 2023, in Orlando, she defeated the previously unbeaten Shadasia Green by unanimous decision (98–92, 97–93, 97–93, per the WBC) to regain the vacant WBC title and win the interim WBA title, and she was elevated to full WBA champion on March 25, 2024, per The Ring. She defended both belts against Citlalli Ortiz by majority decision on June 6, 2025, and lost a unanimous decision to Shields in their heavyweight rematch on February 22, 2026. Outside the ring she is a singer: before boxing she competed on American Idol and has recorded in the studio.

Notes

Sports Encyclopedia roster CTL-SPE-0508. Contested disposition — the December 15, 2023 Green bout: Crews-Dezurn WON by unanimous decision; any roster shorthand reading the bout as a Green win or a Crews-Dezurn loss is contradicted by the WBC's own report, The Ring and BoxingScene, and is not carried. The bout also lives in Shadasia Green's record (S8-36) in prose; a bout alone is not an edge, and no edge is emitted between them. Firsts disposition: first undisputed women's super middleweight champion (April 30, 2022), carried as BoxingScene states it. Title status is dated throughout: undisputed reign ended July 2, 2023 (Marshall); WBC/WBA champion again from December 2023 / March 2024; the February 22, 2026 heavyweight loss to Claressa Shields is a separate division and does not alter the super middleweight sequence as sourced. Identity: name carries the accented ó in Franchón; the unaccented form is retained as an alias for dedupe. Curator's Judgment (DRAFT): Crews-Dezurn built a championship career from a debut loss to the era's defining fighter, and her 2023 win over Green — as the underdog — is the hinge of her record.
