Evidence note (master store)

The Chicagoland Sports Hall of Fame honours sports figures associated with the greater Chicago area at an annual induction ceremony: the 29th annual ceremony was held 15 October 2026 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, Rosemont, with Charles Carey as board chairman, inducting athletes, coaches and media figures (2026 class incl. Jerry Azumah, Ron Rivera, Ben Zobrist, Jordan Lynch) — per the first-hand report of Fred Mitchell, 41-year Chicago Tribune sportswriter and 2023 inductee (fetched in full). Reference works trace the hall to a 1979 founding at Soldier Field (tier-5 pointer, not stamped).
