Evidence note (master store)

Willis Tower exists as a skyscraper in Chicago located at 233 South Wacker Drive, originally called Sears Tower, built for Sears, Roebuck and Company, opened to tenants in 1973 with construction completed in 1974, reaching 108 floors and a height of 1,451 feet excluding broadcast antennas, and renamed Willis Tower on July 16, 2009. Britannica states it was the world's tallest building until 1996, when it was surpassed by the Petronas Twin Towers. The stored Chicago tallest-building start year (1974) is consistent with the completion dating but the Chicago succession itself is NOT separately covered by this source (fetched in full 2026-10-17)
