William Maxey — Founder & President

William Maxey is the President and founder of CultureTechLens NFP, Chicago. He describes himself as a “Cultural Knowledge Architect” — the working discipline behind the archive is evidence before authority: every claim graded, every source named, every correction public. A self-taught researcher who built the archive’s record-keeping systems from the ground up, he directs CultureTechLens’s research, its 4,111-entity knowledge graph, and the monthly CultureTechLens Index. As DJ BrothaMax he is an open-format soulful DJ — the music archive is built by someone who has played the records. Full bio: culturetechlens.com/about/founder/.
