The Evidence File Standard (CTL Type 04, prefix CTL-EF-[DOMAIN]-000001) is CTL's proof layer: Research Question → Claim → Evidence For ↔ Evidence Against → Primary + Secondary Sources → Source Evaluation → Corroboration → Conflicts → Confidence Classification → CTL Finding. A dossier explains an entity; an evidence file records exactly why CTL believes a claim is true, false, disputed, or unresolved — using a seven-status vocabulary. Standalone production is not yet commissioned; each in-production dossier ships an evidence-file.md draft to this pattern.
