Moorish Science Temple of America (MSTA)

Noble Drew Ali established a Canaanite Temple in Newark, New Jersey in 1913 and moved the movement's headquarters to Chicago in 1925, incorporating in Illinois in 1926/1928. The MSTA held its Moorish National Conclave in Chicago in October 1928 and published the Moorish Guide, reported to reach at least twelve states.
