Fritz Rau

VERIFIED evidence grade of this record

German concert promoter (born March 9, 1930, in Pforzheim); law graduate of the University of Heidelberg who ran the Cave 54 jazz club before joining Horst Lippmann's Jazz at the Philharmonic tours in 1957. With Lippmann he established the agency Lippmann + Rau in 1962 and organized the first American Folk Blues Festival European tour; nominated to the Blues Hall of Fame in 2012 with Lippmann.
