VERIFIED evidence grade of this record

CeCe Winans (born Priscilla Marie Winans on October 8, 1964, in Detroit, Michigan) is an American gospel singer — the best-selling and most awarded female artist in gospel music history. Born into Detroit's storied Winans family, she rose to prominence in the 1980s in the duo BeBe & CeCe Winans with her brother BeBe, whose albums crossed over to mainstream R&B audiences; their Different Lifestyles (1991) became a landmark of contemporary gospel. Her solo debut, Alone in His Presence (1995), sold more than a million copies and opened a solo career of sustained chart success. She has received more Grammy Awards than any other female gospel singer and holds a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
