The Lox is an American hip-hop trio from Yonkers, New York, composed of Jadakiss, Styles P and Sheek Louch. The three rapped together in high school under the names the Bomb Squad and then the Warlocks; a demo recorded with Jaz-O reached fellow Yonkers native Mary J. Blige and then Sean Combs, who signed the group to Bad Boy Records and shortened its name to the Lox, later read as Living Off Experience. After featured work in 1997, including 'We'll Always Love Big Poppa' and the remix of 'All About the Benjamins,' the group released its Top Ten debut album, Money, Power & Respect (1998). Dissatisfied at Bad Boy, the trio moved to Ruff Ryders Entertainment in 1999 and released We Are the Streets (2000), another Top Ten album. Each member then built a solo career, making the Lox one of the few groups with a Top Ten Billboard 200 entry from every member. The group later resumed recording together through its own D-Block label, releasing Filthy America... It's Beautiful (2016) and Living Off Xperience (2020). Jadakiss holds a record in this graph (CTL-E-5704); Styles P and Sheek Louch do not yet, and are documented as further gaps rather than minted here.
