Combined Graph record U-07213 · provenance: build store (JSON graph), record CTL-E-5977.

Ronald Acuña Jr., born 18 December 1997 in La Guaira, Venezuela, is the Atlanta Braves' right fielder and one of the most electrifying players of his generation. He debuted on 25 April 2018, won the National League Rookie of the Year Award, and in 2023 produced a historic MVP season as the founding member of the 40-home-run, 70-stolen-base club. Injuries — including two major knee injuries — have repeatedly interrupted him, and he was named the NL Comeback Player of the Year in 2025 after returning from an ACL tear. In September 2026 he hit his 200th career home run, becoming the fastest player ever to pair 200 home runs with 200 stolen bases (he reached the milestone with 225 steals). In October 2026 he was Atlanta's starting right fielder through its postseason run. CTL stages him as an Afro-Venezuelan ballplayer; individual descent documentation is named as a gap below.

Notes

Staged 2026-10-16 under CTL-GOV-006 (Census Intake Wave 4 — 747 Program, Wave 10; 40-record packet). Gate A (2026-10-16): no Ronald Acuña Jr. entity in the live graph at 3,683 entities (exact / normalized / alias + token containment); ID CTL-E-5977 assigned at assembly. Supply: 747 Supply Ledger, Tier 3 — Famous Birthdays ABSENT census, readiness rank 1109 (Baseball Players list). The census supplied the NAME ONLY; no fact in this record is sourced to it (CTL-GOV-004). SCOPE GATE: PASS — Afro-Venezuelan (PROVISIONAL) — Venezuelan-born (La Guaira, the Afro-Venezuelan coastal state) player documented at the contextual level within the African-descended baseball tradition of Venezuela's Caribbean coast. GAP: no credible source retrieved in this pass labels Acuña individually as Afro-Venezuelan or of African descent, and no self-identification was found; tier held at Provisional until one is filed. (His documented tributes — wearing Jackie Robinson's 42 at the 2023 WBC and Clemente's 21 at the 2026 WBC — are noted but are not treated as descent documentation.) Vital status: LIVING — Atlanta's starting right fielder in postseason games on 1 and 6 October 2026 (Sportradar). STATISTICS (sourced, dated): 2026 regular season (Albat, October 2026): 107 games, 20 HR, 55 RBI, 21 SB; career milestone September 2026: 200 HR with 225 SB — fastest to 200-200 in MLB history (Albat, 3 September 2026). 2023 NL MVP season (40 HR / 70 SB club founder). MEDIA: photo HELD (candidate: Wikimedia Commons portrait of Acuña in an Atlanta uniform; no file page read at file-page level — CTL-PHOTO-001; CTL-created graphic is the standing alternative); chart FILLED (charts/chart-ctl-e-5977-ronald-acuna-jr.svg); video HELD (Shorts Link Map checked — no matching CTL Short); audio HELD (no rights basis). Coordinator verification pass (2026-10-16): one additional targeted search for individual-level Afro-Latino / African-descent documentation was run at assembly for this record; no citable individual-level source was found, so the Provisional cap and the named gap stand, pending a sourced document or a founder scope ruling (precedent: Romeo Santos, Census Intake Wave 3). MEDIA LAYER (staged 2026-10-16; full per-asset PHOTO-001 records + embed specs in the packet's staged JSON, Drive packet folder): map = N/A (Person records carry no map slot under the media-layer rule; maps attach to places and institutions.) | visual_assets = HELD: | chart = FILLED (CTL-created SVG (black / deep red / gold) built only from this record's sourced facts) | video = HELD (No matching-entity CTL Short in the Shorts Link Map catalog (checked by name and variants), and no official/em) | audio = HELD (No CTL-owned or rights-cleared matching-entity audio at staging; the subject's own recordings/appearances are )
