Tatyana Guchi — born Tatyana Komaguchi — is a Los Angeles-based stand-up comedian, actress, improviser and musician whose official biography describes her point of view as shaped by 'the Black, Queer, and Asian perspective.' Raised with East Coast and Southern roots, she came up through Los Angeles stand-up and improv rather than television: she was named a Laugh Factory Fresh Face, was a finalist for Breakout Comedian of the Year at the American Black Film Festival's Because They're Funny comedy festival, has been heard on SiriusXM's Netflix Is a Joke Radio, and has recorded sets for Cracked Comedy and for the Newcomers showcase on Veeps. She is creative director of the improv group BMC Improv (formerly Bernie Mac & Cheese) and teaches improv at the Terasaki Budokan Japanese community center in downtown Los Angeles, and she has appeared in commercials for Old Navy, Sephora and Android. In October 2026 she was named to the cast of the sketch-comedy channel Smosh, joining its ensemble after appearing as a 'friend of' the channel.

Notes

Staged 2026-10-16 under CTL-GOV-006 (Census Intake Wave 5 — 747 Program, Wave 11; 40-record packet). Gate A (2026-10-16): no Tatyana Guchi entity in the live graph at 3,763 entities (exact / normalized / alias + token containment); ID CTL-E-6074 assigned at assembly. Supply: 747 Supply Ledger, Tier 3 — Famous Birthdays ABSENT census, readiness rank 1477 (Comedians list). The census supplied the NAME ONLY; no fact in this record is sourced to it (CTL-GOV-004). SCOPE GATE: PASS — stand-up comedian whose own published self-description, carried verbatim by her official site and by Collider's October 2026 cast announcement, frames her work through 'the Black, Queer, and Asian perspective' — individual-level self-identification documentation. Vital status: LIVING — officially named to the Smosh cast on 8 Oct 2026 (Collider; Bleeding Cool; Wikipedia's list of Smosh cast members, Oct 2026). Birth date is not documented in any source secured in this pass and is not asserted. STATISTICS (sourced, dated): Laugh Factory Fresh Face; finalist, ABFF Because They're Funny Breakout Comedian of the Year (official biography; Hollywood Improv, accessed 2026-10-16). MEDIA: photo HELD (candidate: Press photograph of Tatyana Guchi from her official website (tatyanaguchi.com); no file page was read at file-page level in this pass, so no image is cleared — CTL-PHOTO-001; a CTL-created graphic is the standing alternative); chart FILLED (charts/chart-temp-1477-tatyana-guchi.svg); video HELD (Shorts Link Map checked by name and variants — no matching-entity CTL Short); audio HELD (no rights basis). PROVISIONAL CAP: no named-class authoritative anchor (Britannica / major newspaper / institutional biography) was secured in this pass; the record rests on the subject's official site, venue biographies and October 2026 Smosh cast-announcement coverage, and African descent is documented through the subject's own published self-description rather than an independent biographical source. MEDIA LAYER (staged 2026-10-16; full per-asset PHOTO-001 records + embed specs in the packet's staged JSON, Drive packet folder): map = N/A (Person records carry no map slot under the media-layer rule; maps attach to places and institutions.) | visual_assets = HELD: | chart = FILLED (CTL-created SVG (black / deep red / gold) built only from this record's sourced facts) | video = HELD (No matching-entity CTL Short in the Shorts Link Map catalog (checked by name and variants), and no official/em) | audio = HELD (No CTL-owned or rights-cleared matching-entity audio at staging.)
