Mojo Brookzz — born Dyon Brooks — is a Chicago-born stand-up comedian, actor, writer and producer who built a national audience online before he built one on stage. Raised in Chicago, he began posting comic sketches to Facebook and Instagram, and series such as 'Thawt in My House,' his mother and grandmother impersonations and the character 'Mr. James' carried him to more than 5.5 million followers across platforms. Nick Cannon hand-picked him for season 21 of Wild 'N Out, and he became a featured comic on the We Them Ones arena tour with Mike Epps. His 2024 Unhand Me Now tour sold out every show, and the follow-up I Know You F*ckin' Lying tour sold out some forty cities, including the Chicago Theatre and two nights at Chicago's Wintrust Arena. In 2025 he was named one of Variety's 10 Comics to Watch and took the male lead in Tyler Perry's Netflix series Miss Governor, which spent multiple weeks in the platform's Top 10. His writing for Chicago Bears campaigns contributed to a Midwest Emmy win, and his debut stand-up special premiered in October 2026.

Notes

Staged 2026-10-16 under CTL-GOV-006 (Census Intake Wave 5 — 747 Program, Wave 11; 40-record packet). Gate A (2026-10-16): no Mojo Brookzz entity in the live graph at 3,763 entities (exact / normalized / alias + token containment); ID CTL-E-6078 assigned at assembly. Supply: 747 Supply Ledger, Tier 3 — Famous Birthdays ABSENT census, readiness rank 1493 (Comedians list). The census supplied the NAME ONLY; no fact in this record is sourced to it (CTL-GOV-004). SCOPE GATE: PASS — Black Chicago comedian and actor — Chicago-born and raised, a headliner of the Black arena-comedy circuit (We Them Ones tour), and male lead of Tyler Perry's Miss Governor; Black Chicago first is program doctrine. Vital status: LIVING — Outta Pocket Tour performances scheduled 9 and 24 Oct 2026 (Ticketmaster), and his debut stand-up special premiered 6 Oct 2026 (Hip-Hop Vibe, Oct 2026). STATISTICS (sourced, dated): More than 5.5 million followers across platforms; more than 100,000 tickets sold across about 40 cities on the 2026 tour (Ticketmaster artist page; Hip-Hop Vibe, Oct 2026). Birth date is not documented in any source secured in this pass and is not asserted. MEDIA: photo HELD (candidate: Press photograph of Mojo Brookzz from the Orpheum Theatre Group event page (2026); no file page was read at file-page level in this pass, so no image is cleared — CTL-PHOTO-001; a CTL-created graphic is the standing alternative); chart FILLED (charts/chart-temp-1493-mojo-brookzz.svg); video HELD (Shorts Link Map checked by name and variants — no matching-entity CTL Short); audio HELD (no rights basis). PROVISIONAL CAP: no named-class authoritative anchor (Britannica / major newspaper / institutional biography) was secured in this pass — the Variety '10 Comics to Watch' honor is documented only secondhand through the subject's touring biography, and the remaining sources are venue and ticketing biographies derived from a single management bio plus one entertainment-news profile. MEDIA LAYER (staged 2026-10-16; full per-asset PHOTO-001 records + embed specs in the packet's staged JSON, Drive packet folder): map = N/A (Person records carry no map slot under the media-layer rule; maps attach to places and institutions.) | visual_assets = HELD: | chart = FILLED (CTL-created SVG (black / deep red / gold) built only from this record's sourced facts) | video = HELD (No matching-entity CTL Short in the Shorts Link Map catalog (checked by name and variants), and no official/em) | audio = HELD (No CTL-owned or rights-cleared matching-entity audio at staging.)

Evidence note (master store)

Named in the cast of Tyler Perry's The Gospel of Christmas (Netflix, premiering November 11, 2026) in the cast billing carried with Netflix's official trailer announcement, as reported by WhenToStream (page fetched in full at wave 20, 2026-10-18); no character role is stated for him in the fetched coverage, and the other coverage fetched for this production (Whats-on-Netflix, EBONY, Urban Hollywood 411, ChurchLeaders) does not name him — graded STRONG EVIDENCE on this single fetched source.
