Evidence note (master store)

Under the headline 'Mrs. H. B. Lewis named Englewood': the district was then called Junction Grove (for the meeting of the Fort Wayne, Rock Island and Michigan Southern railroads); Mrs. Lewis suggested it be named after Englewood, N.J., which she had visited, and 'Mrs. Lewis gave the place that name' (Chicago Tribune, Mar. 4, 1900, Englewood section; the Lewises were still living and are quoted as residents).
