Independent beauty salon opened in Chicago in 1916 by 20-year-old Marjorie Stewart Joyner, the first Black graduate of Chicago's A.B. Molar Beauty School. A canonical example of the lost ordinary firm: its existence is attested by strong biographical sources but no street address or surviving business records were found.
