Urban Girl Adventures is a children's book series created by Chicago author Asadah Kirkland with her daughter Patience, launched in 2012 with Urban Girls: Adventures of Little Ladies in the City — Travel. The first volume is a 32-page paperback (ISBN 9780983620501) published by Asadah Sense Consulting. Per Kirkland's literary biography, the series combines Patience's photography — taken when she was seven — with her mother's words, to show how children live in urban environments. The series later extended to screen: a webisode, “Urban Girls Travel,” first aired in 2017, mirroring the first book. A companion site, urbangirladventures.com, remains live with its 2014 Asadah Sense Consulting footer.
