VERIFIED evidence grade of this record

I’m Still in Love with You is a studio album by Al Green, released in 1972 on Hi Records, months after Let’s Stay Together. Produced by Willie Mitchell and recorded at Royal Studios in Memphis with the Hi Rhythm Section, it deepens the partnership’s formula: Green’s feather-light tenor and falsetto laid over tight drums, horns, and strings, intimacy engineered like architecture. The title track became one of his defining singles. The album also carries “Love and Happiness,” later one of his most celebrated recordings, and “Look What You Done for Me.” Its cover — Green in a white suit, seated in a white wicker chair — is, as Exclaim! wrote, one of the indelible images of the 1970s. Exclaim! also documents the album reaching number four on the Billboard pop chart. I’m Still in Love with You is the second panel of the diptych — with Let’s Stay Together — on which Green’s claim to the soul pantheon principally rests.
