Evidence note (master store)

Black professional wrestler Norvell Austin; in the early 1970s he teamed with Sputnik Monroe as a villainous duo — an interracial pairing described as unheard of at the time — with Austin dyeing a white streak in his hair to match Monroe's; their interview exchange was Monroe boasting 'Black is beautiful' and Austin replying 'White is wonderful' (newspaper feature on Monroe's civil-rights-era Memphis career, reprinted at Oklafan.com; treated as tier 4 in reprint form).
