The Gay Sisters

The Gay Sisters — Evelyn and Geraldine (gospel piano innovators) and Mildred (singer) — were key figures of gospel's Golden Age, recording from 1948 to 1973, playing the Apollo Theatre, and appearing with Mahalia Jackson and the Clara Ward Singers at the first all-gospel concert at Carnegie Hall in 1950.
