Terror Squad is an American hip-hop collective from the Bronx, New York, established in 1998, with Fat Joe among its founding members. The crew — Fat Joe, Big Pun, Cuban Link, Prospect, Armageddon and Triple Seis, with singer Tony Sunshine — debuted as a group on Fat Joe's album Don Cartagena (1998), coming together on the track 'The Hidden Hand,' and released its self-titled debut album on Atlantic in September 1999, which produced no substantial hits. The group went on hiatus after Big Pun's death in 2000; Cuban Link and Triple Seis departed, and Remy Ma and Tony Sunshine became central to the regrouped lineup. Terror Squad reunited for its second album, True Story (2004), whose single 'Lean Back,' produced by Scott Storch and performed by Fat Joe and Remy Ma, peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot 100. The collective signed to Koch Records in 2007, and Remy Ma parted ways with the group that April. Fat Joe, the member with the most successful solo career, holds a record in this graph (CTL-E-5703); Big Pun does not, and his member edge is documented as a further gap rather than minted here.

Notes

STAGED 2026-10-16 (747 Program, Wave 7, Batch C) — not merged. Gate A: no Terror Squad record in the live graph (3,443 entities), 2026-10-16 — ABSENT, while Fat Joe (CTL-E-5703) is homed. Vital status: GROUP — formed 1998; activity after 2007 is carried only as the sourced signing/departure record, and the era is stated as 1998–present on Fat Joe's continuing use of the name in the sources reviewed; no reunion claim is asserted. Typing: Person/group per PPL-001 precedent (a collective typed as a group, as with the other Batch C crews). Edge staged: Fat Joe (CTL-E-5703) related_to → Terror Squad, founder/member role in evidence. BLOCKED / further gap (not homed, not minted): Big Pun (Christopher Rios) — no graph record under name or birth-name screening. SOURCE CAUTION SHOWN: the group article's founding-member line names a second founder under a name that collides with another member's documented alias in the same article; that detail is therefore not carried beyond Fat Joe's founding role, which both sources support. Photo: HELD (see media). MEDIA LAYER (staged 2026-10-16; full per-asset PHOTO-001 records + embed specs in the packet's staged JSON, Drive packet folder): map = N/A (Person/group records carry no map slot under the media-layer rule; maps attach to places and institutions.) | visual_assets = HELD: No Commons/LOC file page stating a license was verified for this subject in this pass; slot held rather than f | chart = FILLED | video = HELD (No Shorts Link Map row bills Terror Squad; no ID guessed.) | audio = HELD (No CTL-owned or rights-cleared audio for this subject exists at staging; the recorded catalog is label copyrig)
