Notes
Staged 2026-10-16 under CTL-GOV-006 (The Closer — 747 Program, Wave 13 final packet; a gap-closing packet built from the earlier packets' documented blocked edges). Gate A (2026-10-16): CLEAR — hand-checked against the live graph (3,910 entities): no New York Mets entity homed; Willie Mays (CTL-E-6166) and Juan Soto (CTL-E-5979) exist without their club endpoint. ID CTL-E-6295 free at staging. Typing follows the graph's team precedent (Organization/other — Golden State Warriors CTL-E-5705; Leland Giants CTL-E-6121; Birmingham Black Barons CTL-E-5776). Supply: 747 blocked-edge harvest — Scan Tail Wave 5 documented the Mays played_for edge as blocked, and Census Intake Wave 4's combined club row documented the Soto played_for edge as blocked; the Mets are the only club candidate carrying two documented blocked edges. SCOPE GATE: team endpoint harvested from documented blocked edges in merged packets; staged to close those edges, per the Closer brief. Name-collision discipline: the baseball Giants (New York/San Francisco) and the football New York Giants are distinct franchises and are NOT taken in this packet; they stand on the still-gap list for the enrichment era. Vital status: ACTIVE — the opened entry lists the Mets in the National League from 1962 to the present with a current-season listing, and dated 2025 reporting documents the club completing the 2025 season with Juan Soto on the roster. STATISTICS (counted, sourced, dated 2026-10-16): Established 1962; National League membership 1962–present (Wikipedia); Britannica corroborates the 1960 expansion award and 1962 start of play. Home ballparks counted: 3 — Polo Grounds (1962–1963), Shea Stadium (1964–2008), Citi Field (2009–present) (Wikipedia; Britannica). World Series championships counted: 2 — 1969 and 1986 (Wikipedia). National League pennants counted: 5 — 1969, 1973, 1986, 2000, 2015 (Wikipedia). Inaugural season record: 40–120 in 1962 (Wikipedia). Mays with the Mets: May 1972 trade; final two seasons; 1973 World Series; retired 1973 (AP via NBC Sports). Soto contract: agreed Sunday, December 8, 2024 — reported record 15-year, $765 million, escalator to $805 million, $75 million signing bonus, $51 million average annual value, no deferred money (AP via NBC Sports, reported before official announcement). Soto 2025 as a Met: .263, 43 HR, 105 RBI, 127 walks, .921 OPS, sixth consecutive Silver Slugger (ClutchPoints, 2025-11-07). GAP DISCLOSED: MLB.com site-scoped searches returned no results in the research session and one page open hit an HTTP 429 rate limit that was not retried; the facts rest on Wikipedia plus Britannica (authoritative) and AP reporting, meeting the source floor — an MLB.com / Mets official-history open is a recommended pre-merge upgrade, not a blocker. MEDIA: map N/A (team organization; no sourced street address for Citi Field was obtained and none is invented); photo HELD with named candidate; chart FILLED (charts/chart-ctl-e-6295-new-york-mets.svg); video HELD (no matching-entity CTL Short in the Shorts Link Map); audio HELD. MEDIA LAYER (staged 2026-10-16; full per-asset PHOTO-001 records + embed specs in the packet's staged JSON, Drive packet folder): map = N/A (Organization (team) records carry no map slot in this packet; no sourced Citi Field street address was obtaine) | visual_assets = HELD: | chart = FILLED (CTL-created chart (black / deep red / gold) built only from this record's sourced statistics and timeline fact) | video = HELD (No matching-entity CTL Short in the Shorts Link Map (shorts-link-map-2026-10-15.json, 233 rows, checked by nam) | audio = HELD (HELD: No CTL-owned or rights-cleared matching-entity audio exists at staging.)
