Courtney Vandersloot (born February 8, 1989) is an American point guard for the Chicago Sky and one of the most prolific passers in basketball history. At Gonzaga she became the first Division I player, men's or women's, to finish a career with 2,000 points and 1,000 assists, and the Sky drafted her third overall in 2011. She spent twelve seasons in Chicago (2011–2022), leading the WNBA in assists seven times, setting the league's single-season assists-per-game record at 10.0 in 2020 — still the only double-digit assist season in league history — and quarterbacking the Sky's first championship in 2021. After two seasons with the New York Liberty that brought a second title in 2024, she returned to Chicago in 2025; on May 29, 2025, she passed her wife, Allie Quigley, to become the Sky's all-time scoring leader, reaching 3,745 franchise points with franchise records also in assists (2,424) and steals. Her 2025 season ended after seven games with an ACL tear on June 7, 2025; she returned to the floor in June 2026 and on August 25, 2026, became the second player in league history to reach 3,000 career assists, behind only Sue Bird's 3,234. She is married to Quigley, her longtime Sky backcourt partner.

Notes

Afro American Encyclopedia of Sports roster CTL-SPE-0062 (Basketball, status stub per roster). Sky tenure as played_for: 2011–2022 and 2025–present (Liberty 2023–2024 between; New York Liberty is not homed in the graph, so no edge). Curator's Judgment (DRAFT): Vandersloot's record holds two frames at once — the franchise's own record book, which she now tops in points, assists, and steals, and the league's assist ladder, where she stands alone with Bird above 3,000.
