Drake
VERIFIED evidence grade of this record
Drake, born Aubrey Drake Graham on October 24, 1986, in Toronto, Canada, is a rapper, singer, and actor who became the dominant commercial force in hip-hop and pop in the 2010s. He first gained fame playing Jimmy Brooks on the teen drama Degrassi: The Next Generation, then broke through in music with the 2009 mixtape So Far Gone and its single "Best I Ever Had." His debut studio album, Thank Me Later (2010), opened at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, and Take Care (2011) won the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album. Co-founder of the OVO Sound label, he sustained a run of No. 1 albums including Views (2016) and Scorpion (2018), was named Billboard's Artist of the Decade for the 2010s, and in May 2026 made chart history when Iceman gave him a 15th No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 and he became the first artist to debut at Nos. 1, 2, and 3 on that chart simultaneously.

Notes
Statistics: 15 No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200 through Iceman (May 2026, 463,000 equivalent album units in its first week), per Billboard via Rolling Stone · 14 No. 1 singles on the Billboard Hot 100, per Billboard chart-history summaries cross-checked 2026-10-15 · first artist to debut at Nos. 1, 2, and 3 simultaneously on the Billboard 200 (chart dated May 30, 2026: Iceman, Habibti, Maid of Honour), per Billboard via Rolling Stone · 5 Grammy Awards, including Best Rap Album for Take Care and Best Rap Song for "God's Plan" (GRAMMY.com) · named Billboard Artist of the Decade (2010s) · Curator's Judgment: DRAFT — for founder review: Drake's entry in a Black cultural graph runs through Toronto and Memphis roots alike: a biracial Canadian actor who absorbed Southern rap and R&B singing until the boundary between the two largely dissolved in mainstream pop. His two-decade chart run is a measurable fact, whatever a listener's taste verdict; the 2024 feud with Kendrick Lamar (CTL-E-5187) is part of that record and is documented on both pages without taking a side in it. · Photo slot: CLEARED CANDIDATE — Wikimedia Commons File:Drake July 2016.jpg, The Come Up Show, CC BY 2.0, license verified from Commons API metadata on 2026-10-15; direct URL https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/2/28/Drake_July_2016.jpg ; not downloaded — visual pass follows merge per standing pattern.
