VERIFIED evidence grade of this record

Chicago rapper, comedian, and digital storyteller whose #BlackChicagoBeLike series turned everyday life on the city's South and West sides into one of YouTube's defining Black comedy franchises. Born Donovan Price Jr. in Chicago, he started in music first — spoken word in high school, then rap — and built the Korporate Bidness YouTube channel as a do-it-yourself marketing engine for that music; the comedy skits overtook the songs in reach. He writes, narrates, produces, and stars in the episodes, often casting friends and family, dramatizing neighborhood life with humor and pointed social commentary while deliberately spotlighting Black-owned Chicago businesses, including Woodlawn's Jerk 48. Chicago press documented the rise early: the Chicago Reader profiled him, and the Chicago Sun-Times featured his message-driven stories about marginalized Chicagoans in 2021, noting individual episodes surpassing a million views. As a recording artist he releases through his own Korporate Entertainment — including The Proposal and the single One Uh Dem in 2023, written with composer Wadell Brooks — while framing his long-announced debut album as the work meant to re-establish him as an artist first, the content second.

Notes

Statistics (counted, sourced, dated): Born November 28, 1987, in Chicago (Famous Birthdays, accessed 2026-10-15; the date and the name Donovan Price Jr. are consistent across the aggregator chain — Net Worth Spot, AllFamous, BirthdayDBs — but the chain appears single-rooted in Famous Birthdays, so this is the record's weakest biographical claim; see packet red-team note) · Series reach: individual #BlackChicagoBeLike episodes had surpassed one million views by May 2021 (Chicago Sun-Times, May 28, 2021); the series stood at Part 120 in the channel's own 2026 episode titles (accessed 2026-10-15) · Discography: 18 releases listed on Qobuz under his own Korporate Entertainment as of October 15, 2026, including The Proposal (January 27, 2023), Zelle (January 20, 2023), One Uh Dem (May 12, 2023, Shazam/Apple credits: Korporate — performer/lyrics; Wadell Brooks — composer), Ova Wit (November 8, 2024), New Number (January 31, 2025), and Bogus (May 16, 2025) · Family: father of three daughters; his eldest, Brazile Marie, appears in episode credits on his own channel (channel descriptions, accessed 2026-10-15; family detail per Famous Birthdays, aggregator-grade) · STATISTICS DELIBERATELY EXCLUDED: subscriber and total-view counts. Aggregator figures conflict irreconcilably (1.5M vs 2.6M subscribers; 266M vs 648M vs 745M views across Net Worth Spot, Famous Birthdays, and copy-chain sites, all accessed 2026-10-15); under GOV-004 no blended or single-chain number is asserted. · IDENTITY / DISAMBIGUATION: This is Donovan Price Jr. (b. 1987), the rapper-comedian. He is NOT Pastor Donovan Price, the Chicago street pastor and victims' advocate interviewed by WTTW/Chicago Tonight (December 28, 2020) — a different Chicagoan of a similar name; no source connects the two, and conflating them is the single easiest error this record could make. Some low-grade bio sites misspell the act as "Corporate Bidness" / "Corporate" (e.g., punnyuniverse); those pages describe this same man (same birth date, same series) and are NOT a separate act. · Curator's Judgment: DRAFT — for founder review: Korporate built a Chicago institution out of a phone, a neighborhood, and a refusal to wait for permission: the skits were the advertisement, but the subject was always the South and West sides rendered by someone who lives there — its businesses named, its dialect treated as a language worth translating, its ordinary days treated as stories worth a million views. CTL records him as a founder-class figure of Chicago's creator economy: the rare case where the marketing strategy became the art, and the art kept pointing back home. · Photo slot: HELD — no rights-cleared image exists in Wikimedia Commons or the Library of Congress (Commons API search, 2026-10-15, returned no relevant file). Press photography (e.g., the Sun-Times' Anthony Vazquez images) is copyrighted news photography and was NOT pulled, per PHOTO-001. Slot stays HELD until a cleared image (commons upload, CTL original photograph, or licensed release) is obtained. · Edges: none staged — see staged-edges.json note (his documented collaborators and cast, incl. Calboy, Reggie Baybee, and Baha Bank$, hold no graph records yet; they are future-entity candidates, not edge targets).
